Mangrove Indian - Bolton

My family and I had a fantastic experience celebrating my birthday at this restaurant. Despite being packed due to the holiday season, we received excellent service and the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the suggested curries. The "Happy Birthday" sing-along by the entire restaurant when my cake was brought out was a lovely touch. Overall, it was a great value and had a lively atmosphere.

What a fabulous place! The food here is 100% the flavours are out of this world the chefs know EXACTLY what they are doing! As for staff, you couldn't fault them!! They were so attentive helpful in suggestions of what to eat..... an absolute wonderful place! Can't wait to go again.....

The food at this restaurant is delicious, with generous portions and friendly staff. The atmosphere is great as well. The peshwari naan bread is the best we've ever had, anywhere. We will definitely be returning. It's worth noting that the restaurant is unlicensed, so you can bring your own alcohol. We brought bottled beer and a bottle opener to avoid any waiting.

Mangrove continues to be an excellent Indian restaurant and takeaway. I’ve been visiting for several years and it seems to be getting even better. Thoroughly recommend the peshwari naan. They use honey to sweeten it rather than sugar. I’ll be back again soon.

I have been a loyal customer of Mangroves since it first opened, and have enjoyed many meals there. Unfortunately, after a recent experience, I will not be returning. As most people know, you can bring your own alcohol to Mangroves. I brought a bottle of prosecco and a glass with me for my drink. A waitress approached our table to take our drink orders, and she abruptly informed me that I was not allowed to use my own glass, citing a notice that I had never seen before. The way she spoke to me was unnecessary and disrespectful. When I mentioned this to the manager, he also showed little interest and reiterated the rule about using their glasses. My family and I were so taken aback by the incident that we decided to leave the restaurant. The lack of apology or attempt to make things right was unacceptable. I have never been treated this way in any establishment before. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. It is disappointing that instead of addressing the issue, they chose to post a fake review to discredit me.
