051 Osteria Santo Stefano - BOLOGNA

The location is very good next to the church and close to our hotel. We sat outside to eat lunch. Not all our food was good, it was a hit and miss. Service was okay, but not very attentive. They never came back to check if everything was okay and we had to flag them down to pick up our plates. The lady serving us seemed to be off shift, so the other guys just stood there talking to each other. We will not return.

100% a recommendation! In a search to try some local Bologna food, we stumbled upon this osteria. Located at the heart of Bologna, with cozy and friendly looking tables, backed up by kind and smiling staff, this place is the perfect place for you to go! As starter, we ordered the famous Mortadella, together with a pack of 4 pieces of bread 2 fried crescentina and 2 tigelle. We were later gifted a basket of bread (which had not only bread, but some incredible thingy too don 't know exactly what... but more like a bread with meat inside. The main dishes were the two pastas Bologna is known for (based on 2 quick google searches Gramigna with Ragu sauce, and Passatelli. The ragu pasta we good, but the breadcrumbs one was so unique... Never tried anything like this. The meal was quite a heavy one too.

We always love to dine in this place because of its yummy food and good service! Last night we brought our friends to have dinner and we had a good time. The waiter was wrong in bringing the wine that we ordered, and it was replace right away with no problems! Our son had tagliatelle al ragu Our guests’ children had lasagne and cotoletta bolognese. I had the best guancia ever!! Their cooks are all great!!! Viva!!

Un pranzo meraviglioso al sole di Piazza Santo Stefano: tagliatelle al ragù, un calice di Lambrusco secco, insieme alla vista stupenda delle sette chiese.

Bella location ai bordi di Piazza S.Stefano (piazza in ciottoli molto caratteristica dove si trova l 'omonima Basilica denominata anche 'basilica delle sette chiese . Molti tavoli (sia all 'interno che sotto il portico della piazza , ottime pietanze di chiaro spirito bolognese (taglieri,crescentine fritte,tortellini, tagliatelle, cotoletta Bolognese, ecc. come anche aperitivi e vini, con un servizio molto pronto e cortese.
