Trash service. I stopped to grab short bread cookies. I asked how many she had and she said three in the display case and a box with freshly delivered cookies. I asked her if she could give me the fresh cookies and she said rudely no. So I bought a week old short bread cookie that was dry, obviously missing any quality that should be sufficient to sell. I asked if she could make an exception and she said rudely no. If she is the owner who will be the last time I go there. If she's not, she puts a bad example for your bakery. 18 Oct
Being excited to go to Zeppole heard many good things. On Saturday you found a parking lot in downtown and come here. It's closed. No sign, no message. Nothing. I would expect a place that says it is open online and opened on the hour sign in the window to actually be open. Pretty disappointing.
I went to the 8th street in downtown. I loved bread that I bought from the farm market in the past, so I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately there was no inventory to buy at 8:30 a.m. except a few brownies in the glass window and a few loves bread. I left. I see zero differentiation between the 5 bread types Zeppole?s had shelf and what I can get at Albertsons. How disappointing.
The to-go goods are always great .... But I remember Zeppole being so much better than the last couple times I went there. I know they are trying to keep a lean staff, and hiring cannot be easy right now, but the sandwiches simply aren't like they used to be and the service is a little spotty. Hopefully things right themselves once we begin to get back to normal. Also, what is wrong with the exhaust fan? I really don't like getting food at 9am and still smelling like a greasy kitchen at lunchtime. That said.. Once again, the bread and baked items are as good as any place in the valley.
