In my opinion, Vietnamese cuisine is much more subtle, more complex, more sophisticated than the related Chinese. I am therefore particularly pleased that the first hot pot restaurant was recently opened in Böblingen Germany. From Tuan Hiep Michael Nguyen and Duc Tam Nguyen. In the building of the former Italian La Norma, which has now been beautifully renovated and has received a very appealing, new paint. The operators have made the core piece a large stainless steel tread exclusively in Vietnam. As with Running Sushi, various foods pass by the customer: various meat types, a large selection of vegetables, noodles, fish and seafood. All in portions on small plates. The customer chooses to Gusto and cooks the stuff in a hot pot standing on the table. In it is a great soup that has been simmered for hours from bones and ridges. You can eat as much as you like for less than 10 Euros (in the afternoon it becomes more expensive). You feel very well, because the Vietnamese hospitality and courtesy is well known on all sides! In addition to beer (also Asian) and soft drinks, there are also German wines. Parking can be limited in the lower alley or in the parallel running Stadtgrabenstrasse. From the nearby railway station and bus station, you can find a 10-minute walk on site. For a lunch break, the fun is almost too extensive but you should try it all. Even children definitely have their fun here. Small drops of wormwood: despite the large selection of vegetables, the range is only suitable for vegetarians and vegans due to the composition of the broth. This is guaranteed to be cooked without glutamate!

I don't know if the same owners still run the restaurant, but we were today due to many recommended and all the positive reviews there and I have to say I was shocked. we were the only guests, which was already significant. the hot pot buffet there was not. the chef brought a selection after his taste to the table and that was by far not the offer you can see on the many great photos. then the shock, all flesh, fish and garnel were put to us frozen before the nose. the sweet as e.g. brokkoli was old and already gray yellowish stained. the salate unwashed. after the suppe was largely boiled/evaporated, it was not poured as usual, the floor was already burning and started to stink. we had to take care of it ourselves. the service didn't really care for us and also spoke only broken German! ambiente dissuasive, deko still from christmas and not necessarily super clean. what should I say? recommended? not definitiw! very pity!
