The Blue Coconut - Bocas del Toro

In the house we had many kkos (we caught and removed four) and a huge butterfly. We had NO hot water, the water from the shower and sink flows directly into the sea. The Wifi was very bad, even phone calls broke over Whatsapp. We were 3 nights, almost 4 days, there was no cleaning, even no fresh towels. Nothing was offered preventively, no recommendations to do what, no discussions about the part of the owner, nothing. You can only buy or eat from the house to the main island of Bocas with the waterhouse for $6 per person. Restaurant: The house is located right next to the Blue Coconut, the owner's restaurant, but is only open from noon until 6:00 so that breakfast was impossible. On the last day it was even closed, although it should be open regularly. A guest even came to eat through the waterhouse, just to say that it was closed, so he had to go again. The food in the restaurant was on average, the prices were quite expensive, the staff did not remember our order and served the wrong food. The cocktails were also very bad, small selection, badly mixed, but expensive. The price per night was $192 by far the most expensive what we booked at our 15 days Panama Tour and it was not justified in any way. One or two days would be more than enough here, and honestly, we would see $90 as justified. We were very disappointed.

The place is beautiful, but the dogs and the owners ruined the environment. The dogs bark without reason and can bite you, the owner has three big dogs including a rottweiler that caught the leg of my girlfriend in a moment without damage (probably played the dog), but it is a big dog, and we did not know what the dog will do (also the owner not called the attention of the dog). The main thing that did not like us was the attitude of the owner, the place closes at 6:00 and it is literally in the middle of the sea so that you arrive or leave a boat, and the owner began to push us to leave at 6:00 without us enogh time so that our boats come to pick us up.

The food was right when they opened. While the food is nothing spectacular, their drinks are HEAVY and the activities are a TON fun, especially if you have the place for yourself for an hour or two

Staff was incredible friendly, location amazing and the food was delicious! BEWARE OF THE DOGS they are NOT friendly! We had a great stop at the blue coconut and throughout a chilled experience, food was really tasty and staff was very attentive. Meeting the dogs however was a near death experience but they are kept away during business time and only out if there are near to no guests around.
