Pollo Tropical - Boca Raton

I have never written a review in my 64 years, but after my experience at this restaurant, I felt compelled to do so. It felt like I had walked into a scene from Lord of the Flies, with poorly skilled staff running the place. The food was prepared by four males, while four females (all teenagers or in their early twenties) seemed disinterested and unfriendly. The sauce station was a mess, with almost empty containers and spilled sauces everywhere. The utensil area was dirty and mostly empty, with no salt packets available. The service was slow and unresponsive, with poorly made food that was cold and undercooked. Overall, the restaurant was poorly managed and I left feeling angry and disgusted. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The chicken was hot and juicy, perfectly seasoned and the fried yuca is the bomb. But why no quesidilla salad, I was so sad.....Food: 5/5

I absolutely love this place! The Cuban fast food is top-notch. My go-to order is the black beans and a quarter chicken with all white meat, served with plantains. It's so delicious and always hits the spot. I make sure to get all the sauces on the side, especially the cilantro garlic white sauce - it's my favorite. I highly recommend this spot. Food rating: 5 out of 5.

This isn’t my typical location but when I go my food is usually ready on time. Best to order online to avoid long lines, which can cause delay if you’re ordering at the restaurant during peak meal hours.
