Payathai Boca Raton

Just ordered takeout from here, usually love the place, but tonight we were told to pick up the food in 15-20 min, which is normal. We show up 15 min after placing our order, wait inside for 20 min before they say it'll be at least another 5-10 minutes and to just wait in the car. Frustrating but ok. Wait 10 minutes, go back inside, and still had to wait 10 more minutes inside before we got our food! All while there are only 2 tables in the restaurant! Why such a long wait? And even if the wait is going to be 55 minutes, that's fine, just warn us instead of lying about a time because of your poor time management skills. Won't be returning here.

First time ordering and my daughter loved her chicken satay, I had a bite and had to agree it was delicious and tender! My husbands general tso chicken, very good the fry on it was nice and light. The fried tofu app was also very nice and light with a great panko crust. yum! I have to say, the pad see ew was not good...there was some sauce on it that was unlike any pad see ew sauce I have ever had and any time I try a new Thai place, I always go for this dish and this was a miss. The sauce was very thin with no flavor. For a spice level of 2, it was way hot, even my husband who loves high heat thought it had to be more than a 2.

Very polite service on the phone. (Ordered delivery) all the food was good but my wife didn't care for the fried rice with no egg.

Yesterday was the first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the efficient service, with the fine dishes and booze and with the decent payment. We will absolutely come back soon.

We love the sushi and food at Payathai! Service is always great. Lovely owners! Our favorite “go-to” place when we want to go out or pick up takeout.
