Colonial Kitchen - Blue Springs

Absolutely gorgeous place for an event. Came from Atlanta for a DesignKC event and wish we had more time to explore. And get some photos!

Stopped in for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. The menu is small, but it had plenty to try. My understanding is the selection rotates fairly frequently, as well, so I am anxious to come back. I had a bowl of curried sweet potato soup with chips and microgreens on top. Excellent coffee! Better service! Even better food!!

Food is okay. I honestly miss the old cafe that used to be here. While the food they serve is fresh, its also more basic, something you could do at home. They seem to be improving each visit so hopefully their culinary skills improve to serve more delicious meals. Also ordered a bottle of shatto milk and it was room temperature not even cold.

Love the change of menu options with the season and the quality of ingredients used. Much intention and thought is put into the menu and atmosphere.
