The Coal Hole - Blackwood

Hidden here on our walk through london, dear nicholsons pubs. they always know which nicholsons pubs will always be consistent. very rustic and historical. I just got drinks in this pub. love it!

Dropping from this pub to the off chance, although it is easily removed from the neon sign outside! I was very pleasantly surprised! the atmosphere is that of a native, despite its location on the beach, in the heart of theatreland. apparently it was the original coal cellar for the savoy hotel, so its names. attractive dark wood decoration and flowing floor. the cellar area is quieter, as it can be quite busy on the road level. relatiw expensive, but typical for the opposite in any case worth a visit.

Nice pub, interesting decor. Atmosphere was OK, and place seemed tidy enough. Drink choice was OK too.

Nice traditional old Nicholson's pub on the Strand. Good range of beers incl. St Austell brewery. Food was good and the staff were friendly.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight, and I want to thank Colin for it!
