The Brew House - Blackstone

Came into a larger than expected facility for lunch. The staff welcomed us immediately and invited us to sit where we felt most comfortable. Our waitress was quick and ready for our orders. She had a recommendation for each menu area with recommended drinks. My husband chose the State Fair Burger and I tried the Mushroom Swiss with avocado. A new menu item is the street maize. It is not as you would find in a traditional sense, but it is a good way to open the door for exploring new food ideas. We prepare lunch with fried pimples and I'm pretty sure the pickles are made on site and the bread is a recipe in house. I never had such fried pickles. Kiss absolute chefs. Try them with a glass of the old school IPA! This is a new appointment night place for us!

Good food and great atmosphere. It took a while to come to dinner (due to staff shortage), but waitress was on point and friendly. Would recommend.

Blackstone is usually a city where we like to stop as we go through. There are several unique shops and restaurants that emphasize the charm of this city. The Brew House is no exception as it is decor based on this charm, and it is menu and vibes pushes the boundaries to pass that “old school” expectations. If you are a fan of craft beer, burgers and comfortable vibes, then this place is one you definitely want to visit. The beer selection would not be as authentic as Richmond, but exceeded our expectations for Blackstone. The food was the highlight, everything was properly cooked and incredibly lubricated. The menu was more than just a "burger joint" as it offers a nice selection of dishes and the selection of burgers is fantastic. The price is what you expect to eat now and fair. When we had complaints, we felt that our server was a bit too flat and slow to give us a refill / another round. However, she was very nice and we have the casual approach over stuffed scripts you will find in big chains. This is a restaurant we want to revise, even if it's out of the way. You did a great task, an authentic pub that you will find in RVA, with a great beer selection in implementing this charm that is Blackstone.

What a fantastic lunch! If you are a fried pimple fan, BUY THE DAMN PICKLES!!!!! The best of all time. And the A-1 A-Burger is there. Amberleigh was our waitress and she was tight, funny and not shy. She actually creates the ones they have in Farmville, but comes to Blackstone once a week! It is about 45 minutes for us to come here, but trust and believe we will be back!!!!

Great place, good atmosphere with lovely live music. The employees are very friendly and kind, the customers are just as friendly and the food is as good to match. I love the Jamaican jerk wings even though they're a bit too hot for me, I still get them because they're that good. Is a great place to sit down, have a bite and listen to some great music.
