Bidrage med feedbackI work in Blackfalds and frequently have work lunches here. This place definitely has the best sushi in our area. It doesn't look like much from the outside but is very clean and the staff are absolutely wonderful (and no, they don't "profile" patrons as another reviewer has suggested). If you're passing through, have a sushi craving or want to try sushi, definitely give Sushi Ta-Ke a shot!
Sushi Tak-Ke has been around for awhile and is consistently one of our reliable "go to" places for Asian food in the local area. We've loved their wide variety of fresh and expertly made Sushi for a few years but recently we tried some of their other dishes which are wonderful. Do yourself a break and take a drive out to Blackfalds. Sushi Ta-Ke is a great lunch or dinner location.
Sushi Ta Ke is the best sushi restaurant we know, hands down, and we've been to various places across Canada. Every time we go, we are very impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. Each rolls has a unique flavor and a nice presentation. The chef and waitress are very welcoming and the service is efficient and friendly.
The food here is quite excellent and if you haven't had the TNT roll you really should. The price can be a bit high, but if you're willing to part with some hard earned cash, definitely a good place for it. The tuna tataki has a lot of garlic, and though I'm a fan, it is not the most traditional take on the dish.
Being new in town, this was our first visit to Sushi Ta-Ke, and it definitely won't be our last. We were seated immediately and a high chair brought over for our little one. The wait staff were friendly and responsive. We ordered the TNT roll and the Spider roll. The TNT roll was absolutely delicious with its tempura shrimp and spicy sauce drizzled on top. The Spider roll was just as good with an entire soft shell crab dipped in tempura batter and deep fried, then placed in a sushi roll and sliced. 2 of the pieces had the legs sticking out well above the flat pieces of sushi, resembling a spiders legs, hence the name. The crab was well cooked and tender. Both rolls were presented on a lovely plate with the traditional soy sauce, sliced ginger, and wasabi. We also ordered a child's chicken fingers and fries for our son. They brought his food as soon as it was ready, before the sushi, which was a blessing if you know how a hangry child can be in a restaurant. The fries themselves were a pleasant surprise having been dipped in tempura before frying, simply delicious. The restaurant was clean and neat, and had an authentic sushi bar where you can watch the sushi being rolled if you wish. All in all, I highly recommend Sushi Ta-Ke.
