The Dog Inn Belthorn - Blackburn

The Dog Inn is a community owned and run pub and has some great sounding vegan options on the menu. I was supposed to go before lockdown for lunch, so the first opportunity I got I went for dinner. Starters of onion bhajia with cucumber mint raita and leek and potato soup with bread and vegan spread were delicious and hearty portions. Mains of cauliflower steak, with triple cooked chips, tomato and mushroom were equally as tasty and hearty. We were too full for dessert of chocolate and pecan brownie with vanilla sorbet and honeycomb will have to forfeit the starter next time. Will definitely revisit.

I should go to lunch before unlocking, so the first thing I got to dinner. the starters of the wobble bhajia with gurkenminz raita and lynx and potato soup with brot and vegan spread were delicious and hearty portions. the main parts of the cauliflower steak, with three cooked chips, tomato and mushroom were also delicious and hearty. we were too full for dessert of chocolate and pecan brownie with vanille sorbet and have to wave the starter next time. will definitely think new.

The vegan mean here is amazing. Been a few times and always been excellent.

Today for lunch with two other people and I can honestly say the quality of food, service and the environment were amazing. eating was so good for a meal that was excellent. we all agreed and will recommend it to everyone. we will make this from now on a regular meal.

Absolutely loved this little pub. the other half and I paid our first visit yesterday for the open microphone, which offered great variety and was well visited. good beer, friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful atmosphere. was not really sharp on the head of the dog mounted on the wall, but besides that, everything was tip-top, and we are now regularly participating.
