Ulysses - Birmingham

We came to Birmingham for the Photography Show, which was sadly cancelled due to fears over the corona virus. Undaunted, we went ahead with our plans to find a really great Greek restaurant and wow! didn’t that go well! Ulysses serves authentic Greek food that is really well cooked. We chose traditional dishes that include ingredients such as garlic, cinnamon, oregano and olive oil, all of which are good for health. A truly fantastic meal! Sadly, due to fears over the virus, it seems that few people are venturing out the restaurant was extremely quiet. We had a wonderful meal and an interesting chat to the proprietor where we put the world to rights. We plan to return to Birmingham next year and we will definitely return to Ulysses. I hope everyone who reads this will support independent businesses like this. Don’t risk losing such gems.

Booked here for a hen party, ended up arriving really late and was made to feel super welcome and not an inconvenience. The food was fresh, tasty and amazingly priced, the restaurant itself is beautiful! The service was perfect, we where made to feel like part of the family instantly, even shared a recipe with us too! I’d you haven’t been here already I’d really recommend it! Thanks Ulysses for everything!

Just been to ulysses restaurant before going to see a show. I love Greek food and it did not disappoint. We had meze and it was fantastic. Tender meats, all tasty and different. Great service. Couldn't be faulted. We were there quite early because of the show and it was a little quiet, so would love to return with a larger party as I think it would have a great atmosphere if a little busier.

Four of us visited Ulysses on Sunday evening 2/2/20. The restaurant takes you back to Ancient Greece with its decor. Truly authentic beautiful. This very friendly owner put a lot of thought into the design . We had dolmades to start three had moussaka for mains one had grilled chicken. Portions were generous, food very tasty reasonably priced. What’s not to like !

Called in here for a meal while my daughter and friends were at a concert over the road from the O2 Academy on the 13th November 2019. Food was excellent and owner extremely friendly. I love Greek food and was searched this one out before travelling. Will return again sometime.
