Great food and service at the Taj Mahal and good value for money

Great service and food. Very reasonably priced. Hidden gem. Second visit

No visit to Birmingham would be complete without a decent Indian meal and that's exactly what we had at the Taj Mahal. The food was very enjoyable and the prices were very reasonable. The only slight gripes were that we must have waited minutes before anybody took a drinks order from us it was earlyhalf full although service was quick once it started. Also, unfortunately there was no low alcoholalcohol free drink options apart from fizzy popwaterjuice. In this day and age it's surprising that there are no alcohol free or low alcohol beer options especially as Cobra make an excellent one and there is plenty of choice out there. No deal breaker but important to some of us. Overall very nice and we would return

Sadly I had taken family with me for this second visit first last year was great but wouldn't again.Had booked a table but had to stand for mins not being dealt with while people with no bookings were given tables as they became available.Once seated and given menus had to wait another mins before being able to order drinksAgain a long wait to place our meal choices and the waiter was rather brusk and almost rudeThe food was lovely only highlightAs we again waited with our dirty plates and no offer of another drink or dessertWe even had to wait ages to pay the bill!It was busy but it's only small so shouldn't have been that much of an issue

Food was excellent, couldn’t fault the service as they were friendly and helpful
