Just had a takeaway meal from China garden Quality and quantity excellent as usual, best Chinese in the Solihull area. Good value for money

It's the 14th February Valentines Day. I booked a table for two at the China Garden. It has car parking for about 7 cars. As you walk in the drinks bar and counter is on your left. On the right is a seating area where we were asked to sit for about 5 minutes before we were led to our table. China Garden is the most bland and boring place I have ever been too for a romantic evening!!. The tables were all bear with no coverings off any kind. We only booked it because when you Google it some photos come up that look nice? There was no decoration to suggest it was Valentines Day, no mood lighting, no music, no table covers, no candles, no plates, absolutely nothing? The only decoration was a tissue with a knife and fork on it. The waiter didn't look like a waiter. He wore a wooly skull cap, a black shirt and what looked like creased jeans? He just didn't look the part. The only good thing about him was that he was polite. All the prices on the menu were quite expensive. The food we ordered was average and nothing to sing about. About nearer to closing time when all service was done the cook came out to meet everyone. She was polite. I'm not trying to knock the restaurant but I feel more effort could have been done to make Valentines Day a little more special.

We have been getting takeaway from China Garden for a number of years and the quality is always excellent. Really tasty food and very generous portions. Staff are very friendly, too. Would very highly recommend.

Excellent food service. Best Chinese meal ive ever had . Havent been here for many years, wont be long before we're back. .
