Village Tavern Birmingham

The restaurant, Village Tavern, may be expensive but it is definitely worth it. The food was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The drinks were also excellent. I had a great experience here, especially with the perfectly cooked prime rib and chicken.

The service was good. The food was good. I've been here before, but it's not my favorite place because it's dark. Half the restaurant is built in a hill. I say that... the desserts are great. So delicious and homemade. We took 3 desserts to go and it was as wonderful as they packed everything with instructions on preparing warm desserts. My favourite item we ate for this late lunch was the fetters Alfredo with grilled chicken.

Love this place! Great atmosphere, service and food. I had the Hemingway Florentine (Grouper) and it was cooked for perfection. I have to eat here more often!

Here a large group of friends met for dinner and the place bounced with the happy hour crowd. Since we had some time before others arrived, we came to the crowd and ordered the spring rolls and cocktails. The server was Johnny on the depot and the reels (excellent) and our drinks appeared quickly. As friends we met in the dining area. I was pleased that they had enough space for all 20 of us and our server quickly set up water, drinks and appetizers, as we waited for the last of our friends. We ordered a variety of steaks, salads, sandwiches, and all were well made, hot, tasty and more than most could finish. I left a great lunch on the street the next day. Don't you know when we're gonna be back to Birmingham, but I know we're gonna eat here again when we go

This was my first time having dinner here and it was simply amazing! I elected to have the prime rib and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection! For sides I had mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes definitely get an A and the mac and cheese was just okay for me, definitely could have used more cheese. Had a couple old fashions from the bar and they were both phenomenal and I can't leave this review without giving props to our fabulous server Courtney (sp). One of the best customer service experiences I have had at a restaurant in quite some time. The server in conjunction with the food definitely secured me coming back in the future when I'm in Birmingham.
