This place is always awesome! Great family place and the family works there as well! Known for there burgers, however everything on the menu looks great and is great! They only do lunch now! Come by and enjoy a Birmingham voted best burger joint burger! If a burger isn't for you they do have specials and a great BLT and club sandwich!

Family run at it shows. Mom and Dad behind the counter cooking, while the son handles the tables and register. Food and service the way it should be. The menu is somewhat small. A quick Yelp search located this gem of a restaurant. Just a 3 minute drive after leaving the BHM airport, straight ahead on the left. Not to appealing from the outside, or the inside, but the food was very good. I sat at the counter and watched everything being cooked. From what I read, they are known for their burgers, and I watched about 20 be served while I was there. I had the steak rider and fries. It was a steak sandwich served with onions, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce in a pita and topped with a sauce that is delicious. My first stop when traveling to Birmingham.

Unbelievable. I've been here a hand full of times. Always stick the the same. cheeseburger on Texas toast with bacon and fries, they put lettuce tomato and cheese with a combo of fried onions and peppers. Never disappoints! Always the same. Absolutely love this place. Family owned and operated. The daddy is always on the grill. I've had the rider's too, which is basically, steak, ground beef or chicken stuffed in a pita pouch with lettuce and tomato with a delicious house thousand island. Will continue to come back every few months or whenever I'm in the area.

This place is the best! The family is wonderful they never have gotten in a hurry but they seem to put the food out in very timely manner.I use to visit this place at least once a week for lunch and probably three times a week for breakfast.They had the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.The burgers were so flavorful and fulfilling they never got smaller like the other burger joints.I haven’t had the chance to visit there in about 10 years but I could guarantee you that when I entered the door they would remember me. They are very observant and have the memory of a elephant lol.Don’t miss the opportunity to have a delicious meal and a very unique experience.I really need to get back to Birmingham and visit the triple “S” Aka SAMMY’S SANDWICH SHOP.Please check it out. 45 seconds off the interstate, 2 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes away from downtown, zoo, civic center, Eastlake, Eastwood and Tarrant.Don’t miss the opportunity!!!!
