Kennebec White Water Rafting - Bingham

We parked our RV on site (2 nights and took the Kennebec river 4 hour tour (Myself and my 11yo Daughter . River was great, our guide, Dana was the best. There is a gas station/grocery right across the street, which was very convenient in an RV (although took away from the wilderness of Maine aspect a tiny bit... Quiet, not crowded RV spots (there was 1 other RV while we were there, with water/power/fire pit Some trails to walk/hike on the property. Would absolutely reccomend/return.

My sister and I went rafting for the first time ever 5yrs ago and chose North Country to be our first. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Everyone was so nice. Kept us entertained and safe every part of the way. Beautiful lunch half way through the run, which was the best meal we had EVER had! It made the trip so enjoyable. After the run we got back to the club house got to have a beer and watch the photos of all the rafters while we talked about the trip!! We have since that day and for the past 5 years have always told people about the amazing experience and raved about how they have to raft with NCR. We finally got around to making another run and were so excited to go and show it off to our friends from MA as their first time rafting. We were sadly disappointed this time around, “2023”. “Everyone was super nice and everything was so clean”, our friends said. They were let done along with us as 2nd time rafters with NCR. Once we arrived and found out they were having lunch after the run back at the club house we were super bummed. Our 2023 run with our first time guests was much different this time. Rapids were short with a 1 1/2hr level 1 rapid ride to the landing spot. After half the run we were given a small granola bar for a snack and no water. We were out from 9:00am-2:30pm with a 20min bus ride back to Bingham with no water or food. WE WERE STARVING and thirsty! Once we finally ate the food was just ok. We were excited to get back to chill at the club house for a couple beers and visit with our friends. The bar was not open, another let down. Overall the experience fell short and surely did not stand up to the first time we went. My sister and I felt embarrassed for our guests seeming we raved and talked so highly about the food and experience as a whole. Hope to try out NCR 1 more time with my daughters first time rafting and if it’s the same thing as our last trip we will not be visiting again, I’m sorry. Food drinks: Bar was closed at club house and the food was mediocre. Noteworthy details: Needed more than a snack and no water for the 6hr trip. BRING THE GRILLED LUNCH BACK HALF WAY THROUGH THE RUN!!!

Three Strikes and your out. Dinner...Lea the server had a deer in head light look to her. The wait for the food was long. Nachos had cheese that wasn't melted. Burger was suppose to be medium and half was medium, half was medium well. Pizza was atrocious. More crust than cheese. The restaurant bar itself is not a bad place. Wide open with plenty of seats. But with those seats came loads of flied.
