Nepenthe - Big Sur

The restaurant has incredible views and the staff is very friendly. The wine list is good, but the beer options were a bit limited. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking views. Despite a few small issues, I would still give it 5 stars as it could have just been an off day.

This is a gorgeous place on the Big Sur coast. Everything about this restaurant is beautiful. Serene and amazing. We went there around745 on a Saturday night. The wait was about an hour but there?s a lot of seating available for waiting and the views are gorgeous making the wait totally worth it. Ambiance is just out of this world. Food is decent and tasty. We got the daily special, pesto pasta and the vegetarian burger. The burger was a bit dry but the pasta and the side salad were great. The chocolate cake was also very grocery store like but I have no complaints because of the amazing dinner experience. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful views! Service, drinks, and food were phenomenal. Be prepared to wait. We grabbed cocktails and sat on the bench overlooking oaks, horses and the coast. We got a table after a twenty minute wait (we went early for lunch) but as we left we heard people waiting an hour but they have plenty of shaded seating, a cute little shop and cafe, or grab cocktails during your wait. It's a amazing atmosphere!
