Blue Heron - Big Bend

I had the 8oz. Fillet mignon and mushrooms. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. It was served with cup of soup and a salad, choice of starch and fresh baked small loaf of white bread. It is a lot of food and all tasted good. My husband had the Wednesday night family style fish, fish fry, fry chicken dinner. The fish was tough and did not taste good. The atmosphere is where they lost me. The tables are packed in tight and covered with white plastic “table clothes”. The music was from the bar jute box. It was very loud and the waitresses and bus kids were all running past the table constantly as we were sitting close to the kitchen. It was so cold that we couldn’t sit at the first table they offered. It had two air ducts blowing old air on the floor under the table. (The first table would have been much nicer as it was on the outside of the room and had a window to look out) The dinning room is in desperate need of updating. The service was the bare minimum. The waitress was pleasant but seemed too busy to provide high quality service. Service was nothing special but not terrible either. I will not return.

Always love coming here. They have the best fish and chicken. Waitresses are always friendly a little rushed but friendly

First time eating there and really enjoyed our meal. Definitely will eat there again!

I love everything about this place!! From the brandy old fashions to the awesome fish fry!!

The food was delicious as were the adult beverages. Thoroughly enjoyed the brandy old-fashioned and the tenderloin tips. The interior could be updated.
