Le Basilic, Thai Fermeture Jusqu'au 04.09.2020

I been eating in Le Basilic for three years and have left feeling like it was the best meal I have ever eaten every time. The food is incredible, with such an intensive flavor and is always presented perfectly. It is like eating in one of the high class restaurants in Bangkok but set in the cosiest little restaurant in Biel. The fact that there are really not many seats/tables and that you are surrounded by so many Thai trinkets give it such a special atmosphere. I love this restaurant, the couple that own it and think it's the best dining experience in Biel.

Dinner at this restaurant was one of the most unique dining experiences I have ever had. The place itself is tiny, with about 16 seats, arranged on the evening I was there as 3 tables. The kitchen is basically in the same room. The decor is a large collection of objects and trinkets bought in Thailand by the couple who own the restaurant on their yearly trips there. The food is authentic and imaginative, cooked by the (Peruvian) half of the couple. She spent a year in Thailand studying their cuisine, and has returned every year since. It's the best Thai I have ever eaten, much richer and more varied than my previous experiences. I believe it's more authentic too (although that's only really a guess). Service is by the Swiss half of the couple, and is polite, prompt and helpful. There are other reviews that say their food took more than an hour to arrive, but this was not the case for me. My starter arrive after about 20 minutes (and was amazing) and my main about 30 minutes later. For me the timing was ideal. It's entirely freshly cooked: not fast food, but speed would not be the reason to go there anyway. If you're in Biel, don't miss this restaurant. As it's so small, I'd definitely call ahead.

Sehr guter identischer thaifood, sehr aromatisch und z.b. sehr zartes fleisch... nicht wie oft identisches thai süss sauer hot bis super hot gedönse...weiter so, referenzthai in biel!nachteil: nur cash und wartezeiten für hungrige damen die unter hypoglykämie leiden viel zu lang.... gruss aus der küche könnte helfen

Dieser Thailänder ist einfach ausgezeichnet. Neben dem sensationellen Essen war auch der Service sehr, sehr herzhaft. Besser geht nicht mehr! Weiter so, Bravo. Man fühlt sich wie in Thailand. Angenehme berieselnde Musik im Hintergrund,die Atmosphäre einfach genial. Für Menschen die grosse Menschenmasse nicht mögen.Klein fein, eben ein total guter Geheimtipp. Wir kommen wieder!Denkt daran frühzeitig zu reservieren da die Platzzahl beschränkt ist. Bis bald.

Das Restaurant ist super und ganz nette Leute!!habe hier schon öfters gegessen ! Das Essen war sehr gut und ich komme gerne wieder!
