Seahorse Restaurant - Bicheno

After a long day traveling from Auckland International Airport to Hobart, then over to Port Arthur and finally to Bicheno, not much was open. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find Seahorse, a licensed Chinese restaurant that offered an excellent and delicious meal for three tired and hungry travelers. I highly recommend this place and would go as far as to say it was the best Chinese meal we've had!

Hey, it was okay, and we needed a break from the western food, so that was welcome. the food was nicely cooked, and the price was ok for what we got. but it was quite standard Australian Chinese tariff. if you're going to be a decent, fried...rice, that's your place. Yes, there was a lot on the menu we didn't try and be honest when I was back in bicheno. so nothing special, but very sufficient.

We had tried this restaurant the last time we were in bicheno and it was not great, but decided to get rid of it again. that was a mistake. we ordered pan fried knödel, which were made in battery and were not so good. I only ate one and left the other. we chose crushed crispy bark meat in Beijing sauce and it was moderate. the coating was soggy and not crispy at all. the sauce was in tight supply and very bland. we will definitely not give this restaurant another try.

The food was very delicious. I can't complain. but I was shocked when I went to pay for our meals. I couldn't find a menu if I order online and via the phone. please ask them about the trips over the phone if. order so that they know what they pay because I didn't pay so much for Chinese.

A great little restaurant with the best chinese food I've had for a while. Authentic tastes, great service. Centrally located.
