Bidrage med feedbackWe loved this restaurant. It was recommended to us by our hotel proprietor and seemed to be one of the few open on a Monday. It was, by far, the best meal of our stay! Each dish we had was excellent, very tasty and clearly created from high quality ingredients. Each course was explained and the local origin of the food stated. The wine too was excellent and the customer service first class. We were so impressed that we visited for lunch the next day before our flight home and that meal was just as good. This restaurant deserves to be higher up the list on trip advisor and if we visit Beziers again, we will certainly eat there.
Well worth the short uphill walk to the restraunt from the port of Beziers. We left there feeling like we had just been to their home for dinner. All the food was sourced locally (as is often the case in France) however our waitress brought the map out with each course explaining where it had come from. Her husband's name (the chef) is "Enough". Of course it's not spelt like this but that's how it sounds. Another wonderful experience.Would highly recommend to othe people travelling on the Canal du Midi who stop over in Beziers. ( the port captain will give you directions to the restraunt if you ask them)English spoken
This restaurant is open on Sunday and Monday which is very unusual in BeziersThe 3 course menu is delightfulMy husband loved his tomato and cream cheese tower starter but for me I adored the crab and avacado starter. I could eat that every dayWould certainly return to this reastaurant
Our hotel (Des poetes) recommended this place as it was close by to the hotel and open on Monday night. After a week in France where it has become difficult to find a restaurant that actually prepares the food in-house, La Vigne Gourmande was a very pleasant surprise. Entrees were tasty and the fish main course was fresh and nicely done (we both had daube). Poached figs for dessert were both local and seasonal. The bottle of local white wine was excellent as well; the proprietors seek out good value wines from the region. The chef's wife, who was our hostess, was friendly and very generous and charming. We plan to return before heading home to NYC.
From the moment we walked in the door we were treated so well. Lovely waitress who spoke good English. 6 of us were at a round table in a room that opened on to rest of restaurant. Food very well cooked and presented. My entre of salmon with a tomato and avocado mixture on top was a taste sensation. A fine chef in the kitchen. Good wines - and waitress very helpful with choice, a gratis starter and butter biscuits with coffee, it was a memorable night. A short walk from quay, well worth a visit
