This is a basic pub with typical drinks and pub food, as well as tables with TV screens showing sports and a few slot machines. I visited with a friend who suggested trying the weekly specials. On Wednesdays, they had a $14 chicken carving special with a choice of two sides. I opted for mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, and found the carving to be crispy and not oily. The portion size was generous, and the meal was served within 5 minutes. The beer selection included standard lagers and ales, but the prices were very reasonable. Overall, it was a good value for the money.
A blast from the past. After visiting this restaurant, which was once a hub for 60's music, regularly on Thursday evenings for steak, chips, and salad, I am convinced that this place is truly special. In my opinion, you won't find a better steak for $12 anywhere else in Sydney. The steak is consistently delicious week after week, with the perfect taste, portion size, and presentation. The staff are passionate and provide great value for money. Whether you bring your partner, your mistress, your neighbor, or even your mother-in-law, you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience. They serve top-quality meat that will make your taste buds explode, along with amazing salads. The staff are friendly and always eager to please their customers. As a food enthusiast, I can assure you that their medium steak with pepper sauce, chips, and salad will take you to culinary heaven. The beer is great and the service at the bar is efficient. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a meal fit for a king at this fantastic restaurant. Don't hesitate to make the trip from anywhere in Sydney to experience this incredible dining sensation. Get there before the word spreads and they become too popular to handle. Unfortunately, I can see myself waiting in a long line in the near future to enjoy another amazing meal. Peter K.
It's not a bad pub to sit and have lunch, but the staff turnover is huge and the lunchtime specials are fine, they need to get a better boss.
Me and my family have been coming here every Wednesday for the past year or 2. Wednesday night is schnitzel night, which is the best night, not only that but there vast selection of meals that are quite a treat. With the Schnitzel meal you...have a panko crumbed decent sized bit of chicken, followed by either the chips/salad which the salad white sauce compliments the schnitzel and chips and just tastes amazing or mash/Vegs, or you could mix it up. Either all you will be full with you $10 dollar dish or wanting be wanting more!
