Bidrage med feedbackIf you’re looking for a fun way to enjoy your dinner and get food thrown at you, Asahi is the place to go! <br/ Such an enjoyable night with some delicious bites. <br/ You pick the menu set you are after and we picked the “Kobe Set” I really wanted to try out their take on Kobe style beef and I was not disappointed, it was absolutely stunning. The chef only seared it on each side for not even a minute so it was perfectly cooked and once it hit my mouth it melted like butter
Walked in with no expectations, not realising it was a teppenyaki restaurant til being seated. I've only been to one teppenyaki restaurant before when I was young, but it was my partners first time and he really enjoyed it. Service is amazing! Very Attentive. Chef was great! He noticed that I did not eat meat without me saying and cooked food to suit. Will happily recommend this place and be back with more guests
Went on a busy Saturday night without a booking and was lucky enough to be seated straight away. This is a family friendly restaurant and can get incredibly noisy as kids and adults have a ball doing the one thing we are always told not to do, play with food. <br/ <br/ Generally speaking, you come here for one thing and one thing only, their teppanyaki. Set menus are usually the way to go and the three of us decided to splurge with the 'Emperor 's Course ' at $70pp. <br/ <br/ Starters included a seaweed and prawn salad, fish cake soup, assorted tempura, and some tuna and salmon sashimi. Unfortunately the sashimi did not taste fresh and was a bit of a let down. Everything else was quite tasty.<br/ <br/ Our chef had a very dry sense of humour and was bags of fun. Seafood and meats were also cooked very well but the climax of the meal was definitely the various methods of catching the eggs and cooked rice. I felt sometimes we were so enthralled in the theatrics that our food had sat there going cold before we remembered to eat it. <br/ <br/ For dessert we chose the red bean pancake, which was cooked in front of you on the grill, as well as the banana fritter and fresh fruit platter. Service was friendly and attentive but it did feel as if we were pushed to leave as we were handed the bill as soon as dessert plates were cleared and one of our companions had his plates removed halfway through eating his fried rice. <br/ <br/ Overall the night was great fun and full of laughs. However was the price of the food value for money? Probably not, but there are cheaper options available and they looked just as satisfying.
The Chefs are very friendly and entertaining and the service is very good. I was disappointed in the food as it taste quite ordinary and the portions were small considering the price that we paid. I suppose when you go to Teppanyaki it's more for the fun and you're really paying for the service, not the food. I would recommend it for work functions, or when you don't have to pay.
So good!. Service and food are amazing. second time visiting and the staff are friendly and the food is delicious! one of the best teppanyaki I've been to.
