Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful hotel off the motorway. Had booked this as part of our 10 day Spanish driving holiday. Not quite sure what to expect. It was very hot while we were there but the rooms and interior all beautifully chilled. There were two weddings going on that Saturday but we were not disturbed by any noise. The restaurant has a very odd menu, it’s all over the place! As per usual in Spain, most of the mains come with a tiny portion of potatoes or veg. We didn’t think to ask for extras/ sides. Having said that, trying to be understood in English was definitely tricky, but they really tried to help, by finding a staff member who spoke some English. The food was OK. Nothing special. Two of us had glasses of Pedro X afterwards, the measures were huge! There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant, we were the first to dine at 8.30pm. Lots of Spanish on holiday.. breakfast was a buffet. Good, as good as any we had whilst travelling around that part of the country. Cannot remember whether we asked for eggs etc there. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, going to great lengths to advise on our query about visiting a winery. Also free parking on site; always an advantage Altogether a lovely experience. Thank you. X
Together with our friends we stayed at the “El Toro Hotel Spa”. That alone was fantastic, we had booked this location because there was a restaurant in the hotel, the “El Toro Restaurant”. That way we didn't have to go looking for anything in the city. Not only the hotel but also the restaurant has a very nice decoration, the menu was varied and also the staff was super friendly! The food was very good in terms of price quality and well served, congratulations. Highly recommended for us, both the hotel and the restaurant, we would like to repeat this stay in the future.
Dinner good, but breakfast choice limited, egg and bacon were lukewarm, bacon could have done with more cooking.
While we had a wonderful breakfast our dinner was far from great. We asked for a special dish since some in our party didn’t want to get the full tasting menu. The one person that ordered the tasting menu enjoyed but it was very small portion. The rest of the group just asked for a plate of spaghetti. We had one plate with shrimp and olive oil, and the other one was with tomato sauce. Both were under seasoned and did not taste that great. Our breakfast was excellent very reasonable $12 price tag for all you can eat breakfast buffet. It came with champagne and all types of fresh, cold pressed juices. There was a wide selection of savory and sweet items. The Monte Cristo sandwiches and the the quiches were our favorite. Overall the restaurant is beautiful and staff was great.
We have visited this restaurant now twice, to make sure the first visit wasn't just a lucky experience! Well the second visit surpassed the first. Th 2 star Michelin Chef exceeded our expectations yet again. This restaurant and Hotel are a must for a short stay passing through, or a longer stay. A must visit!
