Bidrage med feedbackVery good food, does almost everything was sold out, nice atmosphere, slow, but very charming service, the restaurant was open for lunch just couple of days and they did not expected so many guest, we will be back.
C'est le vrai chose! The restaurant is now called "Gourmanderie." It serves a limited menu of excellent authentic French cuisine. We had a very good dinner, three courses with wine accompanied, served in a charming manner in a beautiful garden setting. A little bit of Paris in one of Berlin's most lovely neighborhoods.
Formerly Le Piaf, Gourmanderie is located a few minutes away by foot from Charlottenburg Palace. An attractive little garden at the front leads you to the French bistrot style restaurant where homemade jams, bread etc. can also be purchased. The owner and staff were very welcoming and obliging.A lot of care was given to the presentation of the dishes only matched by the delightful flavours of each course. On 21st March, at 7pm, the restaurant will take part in Goût de France, a Fête Gastronomique celebrated by 1000 restaurants in 5 continents to celebrate French Cuisine.
We visited Le Piaf in Charlottenburg and had not only a good meal and drink, but also really enjoyed the bistro like environment. I'd recommend to book as the restaurant is small and very busy. We received good service and enjoyed our stay. We'll be back.
We were there once: never again. It's very expensive considering that the food is OK but nothing special. It's a pseudo-French experience: the waiter puts on a bit of a show but there is not enough substance... The wine was awful (and expensive): it certainly wasn't a Bordeaux wine as the waiter claimed. As a couple you can easily spend 100 euros here and wonder where your money went. Go to the Italian restaurant round the corner, Opera Italiana, instead: that is real value for money by comparison.
