La Cascina - Berlin

As always great service and perfect eating. Italian waiters who give them the feeling that they are visiting Italian city and tasting Italian food.

Until the bill came, everything is good. it was late for the clock. the German table neighbors paid with the credit card. When it came to me, the pos rejected all my cards. the bill was euro. I gave credit. maps of different banks and different European countries. the same declined. I was very annoyed about it because I know exactly that all cards where with much more money on them. the guardian of the guard fought me to me, and he made me come out of the money and roar. and he told me that all you want, only the pos terminal things on the other family. it was like I did. it was the most embarrassing situation I saw in my life. He told me he'll call the police. When I agreed, he changed his mind and he told me to leave without paying. this cannot happen as long as I enjoy eating a drink. Finally I found some cash from my friends and I left the restaurant pay cash. I went to the first gas station to buy water and an ice cream. I paid the same credit card. guess what happens? Of course, it works and I have the pie of all these bills. I have never thought that it is in such a beautiful opposite of berlin, with so healthy people, an Italian owner who claims to be there, there or so, it can treat foreign customers so. financial, do you hear that? I pay taxes in my country and we have by law pos terminals everywhere. I couldn't believe I had to pay cash in the middle of berlin without having to deduct a bill from the company's costs.

La cascina is a very good restaurant. from the waiters to the owner, everyone is a family there and I have always loved restaurants! eating is excellent! I would recommend the pasta that are homemade, the fish or the Argentine bark in...green pfeffer sauce. Do not forget to ask the homemade smoke ham as a starter when they arrive there. bruschettas and the best olives are from the house. it is pricy, but if they enjoy italian food as much as I, then they don't have to miss it!

This restaurant is all about service and making you feel at home. An Italian home, that is. This a a golden gem in Berlin, off the beaten track, mostly frequented by regular customers. The food is excellent, with a very nice antipasti counter. Personal tastes...are catered for. Great garden, a nice retreat on summer days. The most important feature here is the service and the hospitality. Have come and will come here again and again when I'm in Berlin.

I went here with local friends who are regular costumers: they where profusely greeted by the staff! The restaurant was full, but fortunately we had a reservation. The menu is very diverse, with lots of italian specialities to choose from, even food combinations to be...enjoyed by two. The staff was friendly and playful, although the food took a while to get to our table. There was live music playing (cheesy italian classics played on a synth) which was a bit annoying when trying to keep a conversation. Can't recommend enough the lemon sorbet: it was the highlight of the meal!
