Bidrage med feedbackHad a not so good experience. First is made more tasting like German need I guess. We ordered a tandoori platter. I expected the chicken to be at least with all spices and fresh. But it was not the case. I felt bad taking my friend there, since he wanted to have a good Indian food. But I was disappointed. Also the staff took long time to respond, but that could be possibly because of the late night crowd there.Overall a disappointed and dissatisfying experience for me. Would not recommend if you would like to try authentic Indian food.
My friend and I don’t understand why the restaurant deserves a 4.5 stars at google map. We have ordered a fish curry, butter chicken and one plain naan. The naan was flat like a wrap instead of a little fluffy. The fish was so fishy that even the curry can’t cover the smell. I supposed the frozen fish is used but how come the fish would still be so fishy?? And my friend said the butter chicken has no butter taste at all.
Amazing Indian food, great samosas. Very authentic. Good vibe and a perfect service. Highly recommended. No rush to hurry up with your food. Very good Indian rum.
Fancied an Indian while on a short break to Charlottenburg in Berlin and this Indian was near to our hotel so we thought we'd give it a go. Food was just ok, nothing special, basic take away standard you could find anywhere. Inside they hadn't made much effort, plain painted walls and basic wooden tables with no atmosphere. Not expensive but not as cheap as it should have been for such basic food. Not much to recommend, there are many better places to eat in the area.
Our group of eight people had a nice dinner at Kabir. Coming from India and California, we have very high standards when we eat Indian food. And Kabir didn't disappoint, and was a pleasant surprise. We had Veg and Non-Veg Thalis, Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Tandoori dishes, Rotis, and Kulfi. All of the dishes were well prepared, properly spiced (not too hot, not too sweet), and came to table piping hot. During the 2 hours we spent there, the servers kept a good pace and made sure we always had food in front of us without hovering around. The lady that runs the restaurant made sure that we were well taken care of and checked on us several times. Around Steinplatz and Savignyplatz, there are 10+ Indian restaurants, and Kabir is by far the best. We also ate in Amrit (near Potsdamer Platz) during this stay in Berlin, and while that's bigger and roomier, the food in Kabir was much better and service much more efficient and personal. Kabir also had a much better selection of drinks compared to Amrit, as Amrit serves their own brand of beer only.Kabir is definitely on my list places to eat when I visit Berlin again.
