Ristorante Babbo Bar - Berlin

In short: carefully made fresh pasta with amazing sauce. Extensive wine list that goes from Puglia to the Trentino. Seven or eight tables, unpretentious given the high quality of the food. Amazing Octopus Tagliateli. Ideal place for a date or for a get together with a small group of friends. Don’t leave without trying the Tiramisu!

We walked by the restaurant and it looked so cozy. So we sat down and were excited for the food. It took almost an hour before we had our starter, which we feel is a bit long to wait for a starter. Disregarding the long waiting time, the food didn’t really meet our expectations. The risotto didn’t have too much of a flavor and was pretty plain. We also feel we’ve had better carpaccio at other places in Berlin. However, their bread is amazing, the place is super cozy, the staff is friendly and our pasta dish was very delicious. In consideration of the general price levels in Berlin, we feel it was a bit too overpriced compared to the overall quality.

We waited 1h to get a pasta! Even the wine and the water we ordered took that long! No excuse from their side! That’s not professional! Their prices are above average which is their philosophy but then as a client you can expect a good service at least! Really, don’t go there! It’s a shame for a restaurant in general! There are way better Italian restaurants around in the neighbourhood! Rethink your concept babbo bar!

The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere and the service were great. What a nice cozy dinner we had! I can only recommend this place
