Bidrage med feedbackBest Thai food in berkeley, I wish I had tried it earlier! came on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. despite 15 groups before us we waited less than 30 minutes for a table. the service was fast and attentive. I recommend trying the duck soup and bark larb.
I try not to come to this place, because everything’s super delicious and each time it takes me forever to decide what to order :D A local friend of mine took me to this place when I just arrived in Berkeley, and after that I keep on coming back whenever I can. The food here is really good, really resembles how they are supposed to be back in Asia. Some people complained about the service here. It is true this place can get extremely busy, and the service might be different from what you expected, but keep in mind, this is a street food restaurant, not some Michelin star restaurant. I believe the waitresses here really tried their best to serve the customers.
Definitely quality Thai food. Nice ambiance, but the wait is always absurdly long and I think this can affect the level of service that you receive. If you're going anytime after 5PM, be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes.
I was excited to try out this place because it had high reviews, but as a Thai food lover, I was disappointed. I ordered Pad Thai since its a Thai Street food restaurant I thought I could not go wrong with a featured staple. The sauce was too sweet, overshadowing the whole dish, and the noodles were very soft and wet. The dish looked pretty but the flavors were off and the dish was incredibly rushed.
I ordered for pick up today and was so excited to try this food, I got 3 popular dishes. The spicy fried rice was a bit burnt with a very strong smokey flavor which made it so hard for me to enjoy it. The sweet chicken was extremely hard and chewy, i couldn't finish it. It gave me the impression they refried it many times. The only good thing was the fried pumpkin but overall I am disappointed.
