Giin Thai Canteen - Berkeley

Saturday afternoon spicy indulgence. The level of spices for me was right. No need to ask the chilli sauce. We had the tom yum and pineapple curry with a mango sticky rice. The pineapple curry was in a league of her own. Succulent and spicy nggets of pineapple with a line of seasonal vegetables. The sauce is excellently seasoned and tasteful. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Fantastic, friendly place with a great menu of tasty Thai dishes. Stop for a dessert take from Mango sticky rice and it was perfect!! Fresh mangos with warm sweet sticky rice. YUM. At the moment they only make natural, but everything seemed clean inviting.

This place was great! Fast service, very attentive staff and a stop that is modern but classic. We had a big conversation about the picture of the elephant for half an hour. The food was pretty good. The assessment of a place reviews for Spicy is always hard. I love spicy food, so I guess my tolerance was up there. Or the chili in this game were just not super hot? Absolutely delicious food!!!

The food was delicious and delicious. The curry noodles were a little sharp. Although I don't prefer any noticeable food, I could tolerate the heat.

Great self-serve/to-go Thai option in South Berkeley. Smaller menu than nearby Thai options in downtown Berkeley, but similar in quality and speed of service. Just opened new dining room Jan 2019. I recommend their Khal Soi (curry egg noodles pictured).
