Fantastic food! If you are looking for a low key place with excellent Vietnamese and Thai dishes, this is definitely worth a visit. Portions are good size and prices are quite reasonable for Norway (mains run about $20). It was so good, we visited a second time during the 3 days we were in Bergen. Ingredients are very fresh and flavors are true for Vietnam and Thailand. The first visit we had a few sauteed dishes with rice and the second we had Pho and Bún bò Huflies. Unfortunately, we went to dinner before we took photos. The restaurant is operated by a beautiful Vietnamese family.
Friendly staff, intimate, food tastes as close you can get to Vietnamese food enjoyed in Vietnam. Prices are very reasonable for Norway, location and season, in our case summer. We'll come back for sure. Please have 333 or Saigon. I'll pay anything to get one next time we come around.
Zen Cafe is not only worth one, but repeats visits. The food is very tasteful and the portions a lot. An article on the menu is very special and worth a visit alone; fresh spring rolls- with a sweet and thick sauce is soooo good!
For a quick lunch today in Zen and could not recommend! The place was pleasant and clean and the people there worked friendly and helpful. I ordered the bungalow cha gio, which was absolutely delicious – as many different textures, flavors and aromas in a dish! The spring rolls were so crispy and the filling inside was perfectly cooked. The noodles and vegetables added a beautiful fresh contrast to the spring rolls and a lot of taste with the sauce. I especially liked the chili oil and other sauces on the table for use on food, although the food was so well seasoned it was definitely nothing missing. Lunch was also a very nice portion, especially at the price! Would you like to come back soon and try other delicious Vietnamese dishes:
