Really clean, except for the toilets which were bad, in the restaurant area all the tables and chairs were clean. I could out the back in the cooking area that the benches and floors were clean and I even got friendly service. My food was hot and tasty.

After perusing the most recent reviews of fellow Macca's enthusiasts my companion and I deemed this McDonald's as a must see on our culinary journey through WA. What followed would change our lives forever. Firstly, some backstory. After living in a tiny coastal town and surviving on nothing but beer, pizza and sand for over a year our appetites for some authentic Australian cuisine had grown considerably. Geraldtons fine population of food enthusiasts had awarded this McDonald's a massive 3.6 star rating the most of any restaurant in the area. We simply could not resist. We pulled off the highway at the first sight of those fabled arches. Unfortunately, that's where the trouble began and our despair set in. We were greeted by an inextricably long line,nay, a pilgrimage of Geraldtons finest mullets qued up for the drive thru, seemingly unable to use their legs to enter the actual establishment. We circumnavigated this first obstacle and entered the fray. The interior, it must be said, lacks imagination. It is rather cavernous and upon entering one feels as though a tiny part of their soul flees. Perhaps the drive thru was the better option? Undeterred and soulless, we marched towards the full glow of the automated ordering screens. They did not have vegetarian burgers. But they did have apple pies. Good on you Macca's . Upon completing my transaction with the computer screen, who actually had the most personality of all the staff, I daringly proceeded to the toilets to wash the grime off my hands. I watch horror films. I am no stranger to scenes of gore. But even this was too much. On top of this the tap was not high enough for me to fill my water bottle. No free water for me . We exited the scene slightly less than we were. Slightly less innocent and with a heavy burden on our hearts. Service and food was great. 10 out of 10 would visit again.

Atmosphere: 3 - The atmosphere of the restaurant was decent. The decor was nice, but the overall ambiance was lacking in energy and excitement.
