Bidrage med feedbackWhen we entered the restaurant, no one greeted or acknowledged us. My wife, daughter, and I selected a table for lunch, but were asked to move by one person because it was reserved for someone else. We didn't notice any reserved tag on the table. We were in a hurry, so we reluctantly moved to another table, which was very uncomfortable. We ordered 3 portions of lump rice, but each one was different and some items were missing. Overall, this place is not worth the money. I would not recommend visiting.
I would advise against ordering takeout from Elite Indian Restaurant in Mt. Lavinia. They are dishonest in their practices. I ordered cheese and chicken kottu for Rs 1220, but instead of cheese kottu, I received a regular kottu with a single slice of cheese on top. I was very disappointed to find only a few roti pieces and poorly cooked vegetables in the dish. There was no gravy as advertised, making it more like fried vegetables with roti pieces rather than a proper kottu. I suggest avoiding spending your money and time on these subpar dishes from this restaurant. The service is terrible and the health department should investigate. Customers should read reviews before dining at any restaurant.
This restaurant is very low quality. The dishes are dirty and when I complained, they did not take it seriously. If you are thinking of going, I advise you to prioritize your health first. The service is very poor.
Visited the Mount Lavinia branch recently to have a meal for two. Their Naan and Butter Chicken Masala is very good. Naan rotis were very generous in size. The butter chicken masala comes with 6 pieces of chicken and it's very creamy and delicious. One of our favourites is their chicken and corn soup. Chicken biriyani did not sweep us off our feet, but it was enjoyable. Had iced coffee with ice cream and lime juice and they were pretty average. They offer very good Watalappan and Gulab Jamun for dessert. Among a wide range of other desserts is Hot Chocolate Brownie topped with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was decent. The waiters are not friendly, and the service is below average. Overall hygiene in the restaurant is poor. On a hot day there are flies flying around and the washrooms are pretty unsanitary. Even the washbasins are not frequently cleaned. Decent food but not a place to visit unless there's no other viable option around.
Worst Indian food I've ever tried!!! Wonder if they even know the recipe for the items listed?? -Just Onions and Carrot named as Raitha -Two tiny cubes of chicken in Chillie gravy named as Chicken Tikka Masala
