River Grille Steakhouse - Bentonville

Had a phenomenal dinner here last night I won't soon forget. Last minute decision to re-route a party of 7 business dinner from Conifer to here given a recommendation by a colleague who described River Grille's reputation. He steered us correctly; this was indeed the best decision we could have made. I love steak and there has been plenty of it recently given work-related travel, including Vegas last week. But...even the steaks there (triple the price) did not compare to my experience at River Grille. My filet was impeccable, as was the rest of the meal. James provided flawless service and was a delight to have at our table. From start to finish, wine to dessert...let's just say this was one of the most memorable meals I've had in quite some time. Bring a date, business partners, loved ones, whoever. You can't go wrong here for an upscale but comfortable experience.

Finally came here after friends raves about this place for years. Traveled with a friend that ate light, so we split a huge steak. We split the 16oz master cut, prime ribeye. Cooked medium rare plus. Outstanding! Someone at table ordered ribs. Said they were ok. But who orders ribs at a steak house? Other 2 people were eating sides only for this meal (one was a vegetarian). They ordered 1 of each side!! It was so much food! In fact, Yelp won't let me post more pictures than I have!! Everyone loved all the sides and salads! Service was impeccable! Will return!

When you enter, you know you are in a nice steakhouse. The atmosphere is top notch and the live piano playing elevates the atmosphere. We started with some wine and they have a heavy poor (good start). I started with crab cakes and found them a little dry and could have used more seasoning. My wife had a steak filet and I had the Bison Filet. My wife ordered her steak rare as she always does and was more of a medium. We sent it back and it came back more medium rare but she was ok with it. She also ordered the Mac and cheese and it was really lacking in flavor. The bison steak was ordered medium rare and was closer to medium but was ok, the flavor was really good as was the succotash. My wife had the chocolate mousse cake which she really liked and I had the bread pudding, it was ok but a little dry. The bread was excellent and service was outstanding.

River Grille isn't high end or super fancy, but the food is outstanding. Love a steakhouse that lets the meat stand on its own without the need for extra sauces. Perfectly cooked ribeye with just the right amount of seasoning. The sides are also very good. I've never had a bad meal here.

Food was good...prepared Server was very attentive, friendly service. Ambiance is nice, formal vibe dark wood, leather booths and tables. Great piano player on our dining room.
