Bidrage med feedbackI've written a couple of reviews about Charcoal Guido's and here's yet another but it is sort of a double review I was up in Waltham visiting my son for his birthday week and we went to CG for a dinner. As expected, the beer and cider were cold and delish. The pizza (one pepperoni and one grilled sweet sausage were great (I'm a born and bred New Yorker and I am very critical with respect to pizza . I'm sure there are other good pizza places in Waltham but I like Charcoal Guidos plus it is just up the street from where my son lives. Desert was cannolis which were also good. The other great thing about eating here is the service Gaby (Gabi ? was our server. Personable and friendly and just damn good at her job. The topper is the second review. I unfortunately wasn't going to be around on my sons birthday so in his birthday card I left him and told him to go back up Moody Street for a nice Charcoal Guido's dinner. He really didn't want to go by himself but his old man was adamant so he went. I called Charcoal Guidos and asked if there was a single guy in the restaurant and they said yes. I told the person I spoke with (I regret not getting her name that it was my sons birthday and I wasn't able to be there. She told me she would be sure to say happy birthday to him and tell some of the other staff. Needless to say my 31 year old son was a bit embarrassed (that's still part of a parents job, isn't it? but I know he also appreciated it. A two fer positive review. Well done and thanks to the staff at Charcoal Guido's. I'll be back !
The food was good and the drinks very strong but overpriced in general. You get the same or better quality and tasting food at most chain restaurants.
Excelente customer service. We were acknowledged quickly and attended to in a timely fashion. Sat outside and place was clean. We had brick oven pizza which was amazing!!! Kids were so satisfied
Horrible service. Very very rude. Not even worth one star. My family and I would not go back again.Found a hair in the food and told the waiter. He removed the food but said nothing. A few minutes later, a female staff approached our table. No apology. Then she started to say things like “I don’t know where the hair could come from. It’s ALL MEN in the kitchen. I am the ONLY girl here.” First of all, you are not. I see other female staff. Second, even if I believe it’s all men in the kitchen, it is NOT my hair. NOT my fault. Her attitude and body language were rude beyond words. Directly suggesting “oh it’s your own freaking hair, not our problem.” I admit the hair color looked similar to mine. However, I KNEW I haven’t even touched the food yet, how could my hair got into it and it was so tangled inside (not on the surface that you would think “maybe it’s wind” .If you want proof- see the photos which I happily took when the food just came out. In the closed up one, you can see the hair very clearly and it was already there. I didn’t think of the photo at the restaurant. I randomly checked my photos the next day after this awful experience. So I decided to write a review. You can find much better taste and service in the neighborhood with their price. AVOID this place if you can.
Incredible food, and the service was really really good. Definitely the best spot for good Italian food around
