Bidrage med feedbackI'm sorry, I can't recommend this place at all. I found them posting on the Puerto Morelos Facebook page with pictures of some delicious meals. They apply as with Tamaleen, Mixioten and Specials of the day. There is also a picture of a delicious pezole on their menu. I made the walk from the beach to the colony with my family for lunch. It is far from the main square. After I sit down and watch the menu, I start ordering. One after another, the waiter tells me they don't have anything. No specials. No Tamale. No mixies. No pozole. The only thing they have is Quesadillas. We ordered 5 Quesadillas. These Quesadillas are the worst I had in Mexico. Hard, chewing tortillas, with some pieces of Quesillo and other fillers (cactus, pork scrap, chicken, mushroom). The waitress/Koch forgot to give us salsa and we had to ask. Funny, there was a Mexican family sitting nearby after our arrival. They got soup starters and then dishes that looked suspicious like the daily special. Definitely not a queen. I discovered the food brought from outside by another worker! I guess it came from another restaurant. What is this place??
During our last stay in Colonia we stopped at noon in Tamaleos. My only regret was that we didn't eat here more often! Our lunch of chicken quesadillas was really delicious and oh so good. Service was great and they were nice enough to let me walk over the road to OXXO to get some cold Cerveza. We definitely come back I recommend you to travel to Colonia and review them.
This great little restaurant was recommended by Martine, who owned their own Italian restaurant near the Pto M's town square. You must pass in La Colonia several blocks past the Super Chedraui, then turn right and go three blocks. We had a few dishes, the most amazing was the Mixito, which was boiled beef rind in an aluminum foil bag. The tasty meat completely melted away and fell from the bones. We sat outside (a table) and there were four tables inside. While we waited for our meal, there were several cars that pulled to go their food.... This is definitely a jewel and a favorite of the locals.... another great place and local favorites is Los Patojos just three blocks east of Chedraui... it has the biggest and most huge Burritos we have ever had the pleasure to eat.
