Casa El Peon De Pinos - Benissa

Peon de Pinos has a marvellous sight over Calpe. Which would be enough to go there. But you would regret not having ordered food and drinks here. The landlord is very friendly, and the food simply is excellent. Reasonable prices make it perfect.

Lovely scenic drive up and the view from the top was worth it. Very rustic family run establishment with chickens scratching in their run and several cats enjoying the life. Food was very good and the aioli was loaded with garlic and really tasty. We were told it gets very busy at the weekend but during the week it was quiet. Would definitely return if we were in the area.

Read of this place on TripAdvisor and decided to pay a lunchtime visit. We weren't at all disappointed. It's an interesting windy road up to the restaurant and when you finally arrive there's spectacular views over Calpe across to Moraira and beyond. Menu provides for tapas or main meals and whilst not a la carte the menu is very varied and the quality of food is good and plentiful. Family run business where it's helpful to speak Spanish. Very much enjoyed the trip out and will definitely return again.

The drive up to pinos is very scenic and you can see the coast from the road. The food at the restaurant is great value and very fresh. We would go again. Only thing letting it down is the lack of camerero o camerera. It seems the owners/family are trying to do it themselves. There were people arriving not being attended to, older gent gave people wrong paella, other gent had to be reminded several times by customers to bring the bill. Customers were having to go to bar to order more drinks as the two gents serving didn't seem to be on the ball. It was still enjoyable but some less forgiving customers might not return.
