Hoogah - Bendigo

During my recent visit, I discovered Hoogah and was impressed to find they offered a separate vegan menu. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Gina, who mentioned that their opening hours had been reduced due to Covid-19 impacts. Hoogah is now only open on Fridays and Saturdays for early afternoon hours. They also host vegan fine dining events four times a year, which are advertised on their Facebook page for around $75 per person. The vegan menu at Hoogah is far superior to other options in Bendigo, making it easier to find suitable dishes without any confusion. Gina mentioned that they plan to expand the vegan menu by incorporating more specialty items. Their focus is on avoiding processed and mock foods, instead emphasizing whole foods in their menu. Although not always listed on the menu, Gina mentioned that they could prepare vegan pancakes upon request. Located in a bustling part of Bendigo, parking can be a challenge and may require a fee. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Hoogah, especially the vegan flatbread with mushrooms. I look forward to sampling more items from their vegan menu during my next visit.

The vegan menu options at this restaurant are absolutely delicious, from the main dishes to the desserts, and there are plenty of choices to please any palate. I highly recommend trying the carrots - they are simply scrumptious!
