Bendigo Gallery Cafe

While the food was good, the service was unacceptable.

Very practical on a cold winter day after visiting the gallery.

Great service and excellent food in a beautiful atmosphere and view of the Rosalind Park

FOOD: limited selection for breakfast and lunch. No good menu for someone with chili allergies. SERVICE: the waiting staff was very attentive and extremely helpful and showed much patience with us as we needed additional time to find suitable meals for each person at the table, finally a solution was found and we all enjoyed our meals. COFFEE: excellent. VALUE: reasonable.

This was not our first is it to the Gallery restaurant. As a group we travel from Melb at least once a year to exhibitions on the train. Previously we have had lunch at the Gallery cafe and have enjoyed it. However, something has gone awry. Clearly Bendigo is thriving with the clever tourism connected with the Gallery exhibitions. Why then, would the menu be so limited and lacking in creativity?
