Chocolate Lane - Benalla

Its not a bad place to have a meal or a snack. The place does get a little crazy at time. I would recommend to try it for yourself.

Well worth stopping in for the atmosphere of Benalla's favourite chocolate shop. A huge selection of tea's made from fresh leaves as well as great coffee and chai. Naturally you can't afford to miss out on the selection gourmet snack of the day.

This narrow shop can be easily missed and should not be. Walking towards the lake along the main street, the flags outside the doorway caught my eye. On the lakeside of the Commercial Hotel is a doorway to the Chocolate Lane. I would recommend taking the time to relax and enjoy a pot of tea or the special hot chocolate and treat yourself to a chocolate or two. It’s a charming space with a welcoming owner.The wide selection of teas makes it hard to decide what tea to have. Even harder is deciding on a chocolate treat to have with your cup of tea. As there are so many teas, I purchased tea to have later with my chocolate selections.

This restaurant offers a fantastic variety of handmade chocolate treats and high-quality teas, perfect for gifting to loved ones or treating yourself. The friendly owner and staff create a welcoming atmosphere in the small space, with big rewards for customers.

I love this little place. It's a real hidden gem! The best hot chocolate (especially the chilli one in winter) and the loveliest home-made marshmallows. Not the sort of place to go if you're on a diet though...
