Steam Plant Family - Belvidere

I always make the atmosphere really pleasant. I'm just coming here with my grandparents and other family members. Even though I can fill the food fairly and find it rustic.

Update 10/22 Had a great visit today. We're back after we got out of the state. I love the warm family like greeting! Several employees and the owners came by and said hello and asked how we did it. Coffee never got low, food was WONDERFUL! I don't know how good you have until you're gone and have no family restaurant for breakfast anymore. You've changed, no longer like your family. Never offered refills on coffee as before and the whole feeling is different. Food was good and still made an order. UPDATE... I think it was a free day! We were back on Sunday and everything was AMAZING!! Super friendly atmosphere, several people created and chatted like normal. The food was as brilliant as ever!

Not much parking, but, lots of space to eat the good food. Nice waitress.

Serve today a spicy onion with a burger. Instead of a manager coming out, waitress was told to offer me a piece of cheesecake. Who wants more food?!? The meal should have been removed from the bill (it was not) and a manager should have been involved (they were not). Recommend Uncle Joe's about this place for breakfast and lunch.

This place is to die for! Almost 2 hr drive and it's so worth it just to taste the food. The food, the people, the staff, everything is just perfect. A little vacation getaway from the city and a more intimate experience. If you want to be treated like family, this is the place to be at!!
