Great tacos. Excellent horchata. Keep up the good work please.
The food was to salty they don't add sufficient salsa and the waiters are horrible my experience with one was awful she was constantly asking for a tip she was calling me poor for not giving her a tip and one of them was constantly talking about there life I give it a 1 star and next time I'll go to Marvin's tacos
I had been wanting to try this place out for a long time, and never got around to it. I was pretty excited since I had heard good things about the food, even from people I know. I don't know if they were having an off day when I tried them, but honestly the tacos were mediocre at best. I had the al pastor, suadero, and campechano(asada/pastor) mix. The al pastor was dry, and the adobo was bland, the pineapple overpowered the taste. The suadero was wasn't cooked properly, it was really tough and chewy. Suadero should be slow cooked in 50% lard and 50% water until the meat is nice and tender. The asada was very salty, and the cut of meat they used was pretty low quality, I prefer arrachera for asada tacos. The salsas are something that can save an average taco, and these sure didn't. They were so watered down they were almost like caldo(soup), they didn't have good taste for me. My wife had an asada burrito, and she also said the meat was salty. My kids are picky as well and didn't like the asada tacos they had either. I still haven't found a place with outstanding tacos in the belvidere/rockford area. My expectations might be too high since i have had tacos in Mexico city. Honestly the most decent taco place I've been to in the area is Buenavista in Crystal Lake. Like I said I might have gone to try the food on an off day, since this place has alot of good reviews, and like I said even some people I know love this place. I might give it another try in the future.
