Bidrage med feedbackWe hosted a teen birthday party here. Everyone had a lovely time. The owner and staff were very accommodating.Vegetarian options: Vegan options
We went for afternoon tea for our anniversary. The food was good, the tea selection was extensive. We had a fun time.Wheelchair accessibility: the tea room itself is accessible, but the bathroom is up a couple stairs.
Decorated prettily, appropriate for dressing up a bit, but casual enough to be comfortable. Some really nice little details, like the small vase of petite, fresh flowers at the table. Friendly service. Delicious food. Particularly liked the little sandwiches and the chocolate caramel pot du crême (the “pot” an edible cookie).Belmont Tea Room provides an English tea experience, down to the clotted cream for scones. For those who haven’t had English tea, it is a very light meal (not the equivalent of lunch). The menu is prix fixe and their website explains what is offered.Large tea selection, which my friend, the tea connoisseur, loved. It was lovely, lingering over tea and catching up.
Cute little tea room just outside of Boston. All of the places downtown wanted 2-3x the cost so this was a reasonable alternative while we were visiting the city. A variety of tea paired nicely with the dessert, scones and sandwiches.
We had afternoon tea at the Belmont location. On a Friday at noon there were only a few other tables with guests. Belmont Tea Room provides an English tea experience, down to the clotted cream for scones. For those who haven’t had English tea, it is a light meal not the equivalent of lunch, YMMV . The menu is prix fixe and includes choice of tea served in a vintage china cup. There is large tea selection, which my friend, the tea connoisseur, loved. You make a few menu choices: vegetarian or substitutions on some items, and you 're set. You start with a plate of mini scones 2 per person . Next are 4 fancy finger sandwiches each. The 4 I had were smoked salmon with dill scallion cream cheese, chicken salad, brie with arugula and fig, and traditional cucumber with watercress dill spread. Finally, the top tiers of the 3-plate serving dish include finger sized sweets. I believe these and other items are seasonal. We had 2 French macarons, sweet tart with berries ? , and a chocolate caramel tart ? [I called it a pot de crême in my Google review]. All really hitting the sweet spot. It was lovely, lingering over tea and catching up, feeling fancy, in this appealing little place.
