Bidrage med feedbackI have to admit, the restaurant is a bit expensive. I paid close to $10 for a sandinada, but it was definitely worth it. It was the best one I've ever had. I plan on trying the mangonada and tacos next time. The aroma in the restaurant was amazing! I didn't catch the owner's name, but he mentioned that he makes tamales in November and December, and pozole on certain days. They also offer esquites, which were delicious. And did I mention the tacos? This hidden gem is a great place to support and treat yourself to some delicious food. I don't want this place to disappear, so I'll definitely be going back tomorrow!
The two chamoyadas we sampled (Mango and Pineapple) were excellent. The handmade syrups and sorbets were especially delicious. We are excited to go back for a second visit!
I used to come here a lot when they first opened. Their mangoes and corn on sticks were the best!!On my most recent visit , I ordered 2 corn-on-sticks and 3 chicken tamales. When I got home, I tried the tamales and they tasted weird as if they weren’t fully cooked. I tossed as I didn’t want my family to get sick. The 2 corn-on sticks were a bigger disappointment as they were over cooked or sat in boiling water for too long. They had a dark grayish color; unlike fresh corn. The smell was concerning as the smell of food already going bad. Most likely, I came at the worst time or worst day or both. I stopped by on a Saturday before closing. I will try this place 1 more time on a different day and time and will report or update my rating.
It's worth the wait. Everything was cooked to perfection! I almost never do savory crepes but I'm glad I did this time! Perfectly balanced blend of cheese and veggies, with a delightfully long-lasting onion note.
Very friendly people and great tasting snacks! The elote over chips are soo good.
