India Curry House - Belleville

We've been driving to India Curry House for many years. There is only one star because I had to give one to submit this review. Obviously this restaurant has changed. The ordered extract and the butter chicken had no taste. Chicken was dry, overdone, we felt that the sauce was watered. The same sauce used for the cured lamb? Terrible disappointment for a dinner on Saturday. Rice was oily. Portions are also smaller for the price. Could have made us better at home. We never go back.

We ordered a meal for delivery and it took 5 minutes for the receptionist to understand and take the address. We were told 30 minutes for the delivery. Three minutes later we received a call to confirm our address. We wrote it out again.... One hour and ten minutes later we called when the order had not arrived and said, "You forgot our order." On the last occasion we have received the delivery at least, even 40 minutes too late and less a part of what we ordered. The worst customer service I've ever seen!

I give this place four stars based on the location and quality of the food you get. We had two meals in our fourth night stay. The staff welcomes the place clean and the food is nice. Would you recommend checking it out if you want an Indian food. The Mali chicken was great, the pale chicken was great and the Baingan bharta was amazing.

I always command the beef curry so I can't comment on other menu items, but I always enjoy lunch here. The meal is a good part, very tasty (I like hot), healthier than your typical fast food, and less expensive than a combo at... a Burger joint.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered! (Even my picky 6-year-old wanted to try some! The curries are extremely flavourful and have just the right amount of spice. I ordered the Aloo Saag vegetable dish and still have no idea how they made so spinach taste...so good. One area for improvement is the takeout containers. Something a bit more environmentally friendly would make me even happier about our meal.
