Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant in Paoli, just outside of Madison, is truly exceptional. The farm to table fare is perfect, the service is amazing, the historic building adds to the atmosphere, and the live music outside is a great addition. It has quickly become my favorite spot in Madison, even though it's technically in Paoli.
Just had dinner at this amazing restaurant. The mussels appetizer and Beef Wellington is some of the best I have ever had. Lois our server was very friendly, attentive, responsive and knowledgeable about the menu. Atmosphere is really great. One of my bestdining experiences.
I had a pleasant surprise at this restaurant. The food we had for brunch was amazing. I usually don't like butternut squash, but the autumn harvest salad I had was delightful. My partner enjoyed the french toast, which made my mouth water. One drink was more than enough, as the bartenders really knew how to make them. However, I was disappointed with the service considering the price we paid and the appearance of the restaurant. Our server tried his best and was very friendly, but it took a long time for someone to initially come to our table, even though we had reservations. I would have appreciated better communication between the wait staff and hosts. Despite this, we will definitely be returning to this spot.
My friend and I took an overnight trip to Paoli from Chicago and stumbled upon this charming schoolhouse bistro. The community was picturesque and the bistro's interior was beautiful, with a light and airy feel that was casually elegant. We decided to sit outside on the porch to enjoy our meal with my friend's dog, who was accommodated with a bowl of water. Even though we only had salads, they were fresh and delicious with homemade dressings that were light and flavorful. The staff was friendly, making it a pleasant spot for lunch.
We met our daughter and family here for brunch and we were delighted. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the patio. They are on the top of their game with presentation of each dish, friendliness of the staff, and variety of the menu. The mushroom patewas superb. We had the added bonus of the Sunday farmer?s market with live music and browsing the shops down the street. Tocomplete the day, strawberry picking is about 5 miles away. The area is truly worth a visit starting with a stop at theSchoolhouse Bistro.
