The Tavern At Jack's Neck - Belhaven

We went to this restaurant with four other people from our cruise for some beer, and ended up ordering pizza as well. Alisha, the bartender, was quick and welcoming. The pizza was tasty and they had a good variety of beer choices. Prices were reasonable compared to what we've paid at other places further north. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Overall, we had a nice dining experience for dinner, with prices per person ranging from $20 to $30.

I visited this restaurant for the first time while on vacation. The food was delicious, but the steaks were a bit on the expensive side. Overall, I had a good experience. The service was decent, and the atmosphere was nice. I would recommend it for dinner, but be prepared to spend $50-100 per person. Food quality: 4/5, Service: 3/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.

I absolutely adore the ambiance of this tavern and have been a regular since its opening. The pizza is absolutely delightful, but the only issue we have is that they switched to offering only one size, which is supposed to be large. However, it seems to be getting smaller each time we visit, while the price remains the same. I addressed this concern with the waitress during our last visit, and she mentioned that the dough shrinks. My suggestion would be for the restaurant to use larger pans and more dough so that even if it shrinks, it still remains a substantial large pizza. Just a friendly suggestion for improvement.

I just wanted to start off by saying I would not recommend going to enjoy dinner here. The grits was hard and the sauce was so greasy. Our appetizer took 40 mins to arrive at our table and it was greasy. Even though the food was not worth what we paid our waitress was amazing. She mentioned she was new and was by far the best we've had in awhile.

SO ANGRY! Today is my 60th birthday and all I have been craving was pizza. My husband and I had a couple of drinks at the bar and then ordered a pizza. I SPECIFICALLY mentioned how much I HATE anchovies, but my husband likes them. We EVEN had a conversation with the bartender about this! We ordered a pizza with anchovies on ONLY 1/3 because the taste spreads. We got home and the pizza is covered with anchovies. It may not be a big deal to some, but as my “requested” birthday dinner, it WAS a big deal to me. I called them and they took my number and as of yet, I’ve heard nothing. So very disappointed in The Tavern.
