Jamaican Grille - Belfast

This is a fun place to go to just hang out and relax in a great local pub with the local folk. Good pub food with a great selection of beer and drinks. Great staff!

Some of our family members had eaten here in the past and said the food was good so we chose to dine here. Upon arrival at about 5:30 pm we were seated right away. It was a square booth for 6 (there were 4 of us) kind of in a corner and not well lit (which was not a problem for us). As we were seated I noticed a little fly, like a fruit fly. Our table had not been wiped down, it as I mentioned it was quite dim and the server may not have noticed. I had a wipe in my purse and took care of it, meanwhile noticing a couple more little flies. We ordered drinks , those getting alcohol were served right away, while the other two of us waited for our soft drinks. And again, more little flies were beginning to make me uncomfortable. Then someone in our party said “ look at that wall!” About a dozen little flies were on the wall, and the adjoining was was pretty full of them too. After contemplating whether to move to a different table we just decided it was best to leave and go elsewhere to eat. When our server came to the table with our other 2 drinks we told her we would pay for the beers and that we were leaving and told her why. She was very apologetic and said no charge for the beers. She was certainly not to blame.

Third time I've been here thinking it would get better. Nope. No employee (except a nice bus boy) gave one iota they had a customer. Stood at door for five minutes, bartender pointed to a table and said sit there, server came in another five, never came back, had to get the bus boy to get silverware and later the bill. Don't go here. Plus $37 for a clam basket and a beer.

Great spot and open late ! We went there twice . Fish tacos DELICIOUS! Good selection of local beer. Our waitress Amanda was so nice !

Terrible service waitress (Tracy) walked past us at least 5 times without speaking. Waited on two tables that arrived after we did, still no acknowledgment of our presence… we walked about after 15 minutes.
